Sean Villanueva got stuck in Patagonia when a virus went viral all around the world. He decided to stay and finally spent more than a year in the very south of South America. In this year Sean achieved one of the most remarkable accomplishments in the younger history of alpinism: He was the first to traverse the whole Fitz Roy skyline solo: more than 4000m of altitude difference, 5.000m of climbing up to 7a – all on his own! In his talk Sean will tell us the story of this adventure. And surely Sean will also play some music. Sean’s talk is in English. Presentey by Petzl and Lyofood.
Colin Haley: “There is no doubt that this is the most impressive solo ascent ever done in Patagonia, and I can’t help but wonder if it isn’t simply the most impressive ascent ever done in Patagonia in general. It is hard to even imagine the logistics of getting across all that terrain solo.”
